A group private practice built on love, compassion, and the enduring legacy of a remarkable woman.
Kaltum Counseling & Recovery, PLLC is founded and led by Ramla Aden, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia and Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC II) in Washington, DC, who brings over a decade of experience in the mental health field.
Since 2012, Ramla has worked across group homes, intensive outpatient programs, community-based services, and private practice, supporting individuals facing severe mental health challenges, substance use concerns, and involvement in the criminal justice system, including those found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI).
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Communication, from George Mason University, and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
As the Founder, Ramla is committed to providing professional counseling services for adolescents, adults, and couples in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
